underworld metamorphosis

it seems that i have recently been coping with qlipphotic experiences in my own thoughts and actions, as well as in my encounters with others... so, i'm going to do what i can to transmute these manifestations with divine guidance... but in the meantime, rather than feed into any escalation of the darker cycles, i think that i really need to ( Read more... )

however, if someone with... 1)suicidal intent, 3)the means to carry it out, & 3)an actual scheduled plan to do so ...makes another person aware of these factors, what responsibility does that other person have to alert authorities to the matter?

such a call could result in involuntary committal to psychiatric facilities, for the purpose of, "Containment of danger"

` ` A common reason given for involuntary commitment is to prevent danger to the individual or society. People with suicidal thoughts may act on these thoughts and harm or kill themselves. ' '

However, the evidence needed to manage an involuntary commitment has come under reasonable question... there is a discussion of this issue in this article: " Commentary: Reviewing Civil Commitment Laws, by Ralph Slovenko, J.D., Ph.D."

The NMHA position on involuntary commitment can be found on their website

it seems to me that this situation indicates that if someone really wants to kill themselves, they have to do it without telling anyone... i guess the idea is, that if you let anyone know, that you're really just asking for them to stop you?

I've said before my observations on suicide threats... that they are a means to take control over a life that seems to have none.

I heard of a woman in NYC who threw herself in front of an oncoming subway car (supposedly to kill herself) but lived after being severely mangled. She sued the subway company and won! Weird.

You know, I'm going to do something like that. Shoot myself in the bloody head, and sue Colt for making something that could kill someone.

Kidding of course. But damn. There are things that just make me want to slap them around. Why did she sue? "Your train didnt damage me enough to kill me!"? I'd sue them too, for not providing a decent atmosphere where a person can remove their genetic structure from the pool completely...

suicide threats... ...are a means to take control over a life that seems to have none.

and i have certainly agreed with you on this point... this is exactly the position that the first link in this post takes:

“Suicide is not chosen; it happens when pain exceeds resources for coping with pain.”

hmm... bean and i were just talking about suicide as a release or relief from pain. but you aren't around to enjoy it. i'd agree with aristotle on that one.

yes indeed, that is point #3 in that same post i have referenced...
"People often turn to suicide because they are seeking relief from pain. Remember that relief is a feeling. And you have to be alive to feel it. You will not feel the relief you so desperately seek, if you are dead."
(this point also seemed to resonate well with the original target of this post)
