cough, cough, sniffle, sniffle

Yup, I have a spring cold. In fact, I have bronchitis, however I've been on antibiotics for 4 days now so I'm feeling much improved. I actually had a nap in the afternoon a few days ago. I slept for 2 1/2 hours and went to bed by 9:30 and slept through the night. I'm not normally a "napper" except when I'm sick, which, thankfully isn't very often.

Maggie and I walked today and I enjoyed the spring weather that has finally arrived. Maggie managed to slosh through several soggy areas so she was pretty messy looking by the time we got home, but she had fun. We haven't walked much this week with me being under the weather.

I had my LASIK enhancement yesterday and my recheck this morning. Everything went very well. I needed an enhancement to correct some of the astigmatism regression that had occurred. After my recheck, Hubby and I went in H & R Block to have our taxes done. I'm glad that it's all taken care of for this year. We've already booked our appointment for next year. The woman who has been doing our taxes for the last few years is wonderful. She is also very busy and gets booked up quickly.

I've been keeping busy working on the afghan for our future grandbaby and the afghan I started 2 years ago for our other daughter. I've made more progress with it in the last month than in the past year and a half. It isn't a difficult pattern but one of the stitch patterns (the trinity stitch) confounds me frequently and I have to pull back my work. In it, the purl row is done on the "right" side instead of on the "wrong" side as it most often is. I think I've finally sorted it all out, but I have to pay closer attention when working that stitch pattern. The little caps are on hold for now until it gets too warm to have the large afghan in my lap. I'm hoping to have the baby afghan completed by June when she is due.

Not too much else going on. Hubby will be going on sick leave in another week as he is scheduled to have his other hip replaced on the 15th of April. He will likely be home for another 3 months post surgery, but it mainly depends on how quickly he recovers. At least we are more prepared for what lies ahead seeing he's already had one hip operated on.

I should go check on dinner.
