I have 9 minutes and 43 seconds until my gel is done staining and I can go see if the reaction worked. I'm hoping yes but preparing for no because I kind of made a mistake that I didn't know was going to be a problem until someone pointed it out to me.
Anyhow. My quiz was pretty evil and I might have said that there were many bacterial RNA polymerases, when in all actuality there's only 1. Oops. But overall I think I did alright. And it's over and now I can sleep! Yay for sleep.
I've been rereading the Harry Dresden series and enjoying it all over again. Yes, the things that bother me are still there, like pretty much every single person/thing he runs into trying to kill or maim him, but it's a good series. And considering it's been at least a couple years since I read most of them, it's almost as good as reading brand new books. Which is kind of funny because I have several of those too... But this is me and once I start something, I hate not finishing it.
I also just read Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko (which is on it's way to you
auroleus!). The author is Russian (I know, duh) so it's been translated to English. It's set in Moscow and it's about the opposing forces of Dark and Light, who have reached something of a peace there. Except not so much, because what fun would that be? The Night Watch keeps an eye on the Dark beings who are out at night and opposingly there's a Day Watch too. Very good book.
Hmmm, what else?
Well, I enjoyed Veronica Mars. The episode's mystery was only so-so I thought but Logan and Veronica... *sigh* And I like what I think they're starting to set up so all is well. Tonight is Top Model and the finale of Project Runway :D
Okay, this was supposed to be really quick but my reaction decided to take longer than it should. And I just had one of the guys in my lab ask me if I was planning to use the PCR machine. When I said yes he made this noise at me: "Tuh, tuh, tuh". I swear, it sounded just like that. And then he went and dug into this random drawer and pulled out a day planner that no one ever uses but apparently can be used to reserve time on the machine and showed me that he was going to use it. *Rolls eyes* Whatever.
I'm just ready to go home.
