I watched the first episodes of Mr. Robot and Humans.
I am not endorsing/rec'ing either of them, exactly, but they both have interesting things about them.
Mr. Robot is sexist in a mild but pervasive way and weighted heavily toward male actors. But Elliot, the lead character, is interesting enough to make me want to know more. Christian Slater is kind of a delight in his role.
Humans, on the other hand, feels a lot like an alternate version of pre-Battle Star Galactica history. Human-like androids, some have feelings, that's a problem. Sexism, dehumanization (you know because), and some complicated racial issues. It's handling it slightly better than Almost Human did, but that's not really saying much.
I don't know, for now I'll watch again but the enjoyment-to-stress ratio for both of them (particularly Humans) is dangerously low.
