Big Bang disappointment but potential YAY at the weekend.
I didn't manage to finish my fic for the Crossover Big Bang deadline, which, as work has been a bit crap recently and I've not been feeling my best, doesn't really surprise me. I'm not going to give up on the fic though, I'm determined to finish it this year and then post it bit by bit if no other suitable Big Bangs rear their heads in the not too distant future.
As for the possible YAY, the icon is a clue...
After 13 years of trying and failing, due to many things, I may get to finally meet Garrett Wang. He's at a con in Manchester this weekend (Trekology) and while I can't afford the whole weekend in terms of time and money, I can afford 1 day and there are 1 day tickets. I MIGHT BE MEETING HARRY KIM!!! AT LAST! I've wanted to meet Garrett for so long now. I no longer have the Captain Proton/Buster Kincaid poster I got Robert Duncan McNeill to sign back in 1999 so I'll just have to think of something else. This is akin to me giving myself a photo op with Gillian Anderson for my birthday (and driving down to Milton Keynes to do it).
Even if I don't get to meet Garrett, the weekend will be a goodun as the estimable idontlikegravy will be coming up to Liverpool for a visit. We haven't seen each other in AGES, so I can't wait.
I have also pre ordered this, finally the thing I have been waiting for in action figures.
