So, Maddie's school is one of the few elementary schools in the county that has a full day on Mondays. What with all of the budget issues however, they'll be going "back" to the half day Mondays schedule next year. I can't say I'm unhappy about that ( Read more... ) -

School districts (one in MN in particular) are considering a 4 day week to cut fuel costs. They didn't actually say, but I'm going to guess that they'll lengthen the school day to compensate. My question is, if you're going to attempt to essentially compact the year, why not keep a 5 day week, lengthen the days a bit and shorten the YEAR instead ( Read more... ) -
