Mushroom

May 23, 2006 22:04

I feel like that poster I saw that said "I must be a mushroom, they keep me in the dark and feed me bull shit." Except I'm not being fed anything just kept in the dark.

Had the bone scan today, the technician said the radiology team would read the information and send my Dr. a letter. No clue as to the numbers plus no information in my chart about the previous one. Apparently they have been purging files and old information is now missing from the chart.

Next was the urology appointment, more treatment for an existing condition that is being treated by my gynecologist plus come back in a month for a CT Scan and cystoscopy meanwhile no caffeine and kegel exercises every hour I am awake. So no new information and another month wait. Bah!

After the medical appointments we hurried over to Oakwood to meet with the Prairie UU Elders. They meet once a month and we have missed the last two meetings. Today the topic was focusing on the good times during the 60s and 70s. Apparently last month the reviewed all the bad times. We learned new things about each other. Everyone there did not realize that Wayfinder spent much of his growing up years in Madison. He was living in Madison in 1948 when Madison was named the All American City by Life Magazine. This is why we moved to Wisconsin in 1968 because of his fond memories of Madison and fishing in Lake Mendota. Silly me I thought we would be here a few years and then move back to the Pacific Northwest. One thing led to another and here we are unable to extricate ourselves yet.
