We managed to get ourselves and our motorhome over to Engine Generator Specialists on the far East side by 10 a.m. I spotted and Dick backed the bus up to the shop door and the owner climbed up on the roof to take a look at our air conditioners.
We lucked out and the only hail damage was to the shrouds so they will have to be replaced. Also the two A/C's that were not working right need new fan motors as one was shot and the other was on it's last legs. So our A/C's were cleaned and we will go back next week to have the new fans installed. The technician will also put on our new Antenna Head as our current one was destroyed by the hailstorm.
Our insurance company sent us a check based on our report of the damage minus our deductible and he was very close. It will almost pay for our replacements and repairs. This was a much better response from an insurance company than when we had the accident in which I received the 3 broken ribs and collapsed lung. I think I will write a letter of appreciation for the way the agent handled our claim.
We had to drive over to the West side to pick up a prescription for Wayfinder and pick up our mail before we could head out to our campground in Watertown. I started thinking about writing an opinion piece for my LJ. I realized I often think of something to write and when I sit down to write something else comes out of my fingers.
I reminisced about how I used to drive over most of Dane County during one of my jobs as a Social Worker. I really missed the thinking time when I became desk bound 8 hours a day when I worked for the City of Madison. Nowadays when we are on the road I am usually reading aloud to Wayfinder and not thinking deep thoughts. Tomorrow I will be driving into Madison for my book group. Perhaps I will have time to organize my thoughts about the immigration issues that are in the news daily. I have been collecting news articles about the issue for the past several months. Meanwhile remember Pooh and when Tigger came to live in the 100 acre woods.
