Amerjack is a three year old Large (Malayan) Flying Fox (Pteropus vampyrus). From reading the large flying fox's genus name, you may get the impression that they are sanguinivorous. The name is a misnomer, however. Large flying foxes feed on fruit, nectar, and other plant parts in the wild, and not blood. As their common name indicates, however, they are very large in size, attaining wingspans of 5-6 feet.
I picked Amberjack to identify today because of the unusual wispy grey hairs on her face. I will update more specific biographical data about her when time permits.
EDIT: Amberjack was born on June 1st, 200 to Ann.
