We are fine!
I've been meaning to post since we got Internet back yesterday: we are fine! We live in Florida but away from the worst hurricane damage. We lost internet for a couple of days and power for one, but we're back.
Southwestern Florida has been hard hit. 38 have been confirmed dead, and they do expect to find more. We don't know how many people have lost everything or nearly everything-houses, apartments, mobile homes, cars and trucks, and the contents. Our neighbor has a friend in hard-hit Fort Myers who was watching his furniture float around the living room.
After it tore across Florida, losing power and becoming a tropical storm, it regained strength and hit the Carolinas, with wind and rain damage extending into Virginia. We have family who got sideswiped by this second pass and are without power, which shocked me.
So we're fine. Our family is fine, but one portion is without power. But a lot of people aren't. If you pray, please pray for the victims here and the victims of Ian and the victims of Hurricane Fiona, especially in Puerto Rico. Or send positive thoughts and healing energies!
