Minato walked in, then, still supporting Faust. He could hear voices from further inside, but didn't know who they were. (He'd only spoken to Unohana once, and didn't really remember her voice too well, not that he would be able to tell from the doorway.) "We're here," he called out, hoping that there was at least someone there, if not Unohana (and hopefully she was) who could help.

Faust was quite happy! It was a clinic, which meant rest, and attention for his leg. It was a very good thing. He, like Minato heard voices, but would wait to introduce himself until the time came. He was usually a fine hit in a social situation... really.

Unohana's head turned sharply in the direction of the door as she heard the voices and she rose to meet the new arrivals, signalling to Kuchiki-san to come with her as she did.

"Arisato-san," she said as she realized who that was. "And ..."

The energy coming from that one would have made a fainter shinigami swoon. It was not life, it was not death either but such a mixing of the two, wrapped into each other, that Unohana could only wonder about it. There was still a faint smell of a human soul in there, though.

Unohana smiled gently to the newcomer.

"And you would be the person Arisato-san told me about ? I am Unohana Retsu, and this is the place where I have settled down. Now if you need medical attention, the ward might be the best place to start. Arisato-san, could you please help him a bit more ? Kuchiki-san, give him a hand, if you please. This way."

"It's nice to finally meet you," Minato said, nodding in Unohana's direction; it wasn't as though he could do much else as a gesture of greeting, not for the time being. The pause she'd given when she looked to Faust was a bit unnerving, but maybe not completely uncalled for. (He was a bit odd, but he hadn't tried to kill anyone yet, so that was a plus.) "And thanks. For letting us stay here, and helping out." It really did mean a lot, especially given the circumstances, everything that had happened. So he prepared to follow Unohana; anything she could do to help Faust would be good, for healing wasn't really his forte. (A small patch job here and there wasn't really worth a lot, he knew this well.)

Faust smiled as Unohana as well, bowing just slightly to make sure Minato was comfortable still. "Guten tag, Fraülein(Good day, Miss), I am Johann FaustVIII." Faust's ability to sense spirital energy was nothing like Unohana's; he felt something, but of course given his condition he dismissed it for the time being. "I do actually need medical assistance thank you." So he took in the clinic... Which may have not been the best thing, he started on the past again... and Eliza...

Unohana led the way to the ward and pointed at a small bench for Faust to sit down.

This was goind to require careful handling. As far as she could see, a lot of the damage was self-inflicted, and while she was quite certain that she could repair it if she wanted to, she was not sure at all if she should. As it is, the only thing the man seemed to car about was his leg.

"Would you allow me to scan you, Faust-san ? I would like to read your reiatsu to se if there is anything at all that I can actually do for you. Failing that, I did find a supply of human drugs that we may be able to use."

Unohana snapped him from his reverie, prehaps the best thing for him at the moment. "...Reiatsu?" A term he wasn't familiar with, it could be anything.

He thought this over carefully for a moment before he nodded. "Why of course you may, Miss." He had no idea what it would entail, but perhaps if she could help him... She could help Eliza.

Unohana's hand started to glow with a soft, white radiance, and hovered around Faust. Her first impression had ben right. There was subtle balance here, one that seemed to suit the man it belonged to, and she was afraid that if she healed his leg, or anything else, really, she would upset it.

She finished her examination and knelt carefully on the floor, looking for her words.

"Faust-san, I am able to repair your body if you so wish. Your whole body, to some extent. However, the energy you possess is a very peculiar one, and doing so would change it to such a degree that you might not want it to happen. And ... some of the damage is unfortunately not reversible."

Change the Nature of my energy? His expression sank somewhat.

"I appreciate your offer, Frau Unohana, but I must decline. I still have things to do before I can allow such a thing." Not his most clear answer, but perhaps he could explain at another point in time. "Perhaps we should turn to medicine I am more familiar with for my injuries." Maybe he would have to continue on his path to save Eliza alone then. He decided to wait though, he could be surprised.

"I understand," Unohana said with a nod. "You will have to excuse me for saying this, but while I can heal what is damaged, I cannot bring what is dead back to life. My abilities and, in fact, my very nature, do not allow me that."

She got up and walked to the cabinet where she had gathered all the drugs.

"You are welcome to use any of the drugs that are available here, but I will have to ask you to come to me whenever you need any. I put a protection spell around them so that no one would rummage through them inconsiderately."

She held out her hand, and a soft, yellow-ish barrier of light seemed to materialize around the cabinet. She focused her spirit power in her palm.

"Kai !"

The barrier vanished, and Unohana turned around with a smile.

"Help yourself, Faust-san."

Faust's expression worsened briefly. He was alone in his endeavors for the time being. It wasn't the most pleasant prospect, but it was what he was familiar with at least. The only question he could ask himself was what would Unohana say to him practicing his...'arts' in her presence ( ... )

Unohana knew a dismissal when she heard one, and she was not inclined to hinder her temporary guest in his endeavors. However, she was also not one to turn anyone down when they clearly needed help.

"That is nothing to apologize about, Faust-san. However, if you insist on leaving here, I myself will have to insist that you take as many supplies as you need before doing so. I will not have anyone leave this place while in a time of need. Feel free to take as much as you need. I will just ask that if you find a steady supply of those drugs, you inform me of it. I would like to secure more of it, just in case it might be useful."

She bowed again, and turned to leave, without re-setting the barrier. There was no need for her to have it with him around. His appearance alone would probably keep Katou-san away, and she could lock things up afterwards.

"Take all the time you need, Faust-san. If you or Arisato-san need anything, I will be in the front room."
