Music Monday!

I've been on a big Tyler Hilton kick lately (interjection: I'm so used to tweeting that I almost typed @TylerHilton) so I decided to come up with my Top 5 for his songs. And then I decided that I was neglecting my other favorite lesser-known* artists, Jason Manns and Brokedown Cadillac.

*Lesser-known: walk up to a random person on the street and ask if he or she has heard of this artist. If you're more surprised that this person does know of the artist in question, rather than the reverse, then the artist fits into this category. So, brief recap: lesser-known: Tyler. Well-known: Billy.

I have made it a point to exclude covers from my lists, because while I'm praising artists who write their own music, including covers is kind of... not insulting, exactly, but not right.

Here are my Top 5 songs each for Tyler, Jason, and BDC. No particular order on artist or song.

    Artist #1: Tyler Hilton

  2. Candlelit Disaster

  3. Chasing the Moon

  4. Girl with a Broken Heart
    Streaming on reverbnation.
Let me tell you--this song was a bitch to find. It's just on the album; it's obviously not one of their most popular songs. But I love it anyway.

  5. The Breakers
    Streaming on reverbnation

So that's just my top 5 for all three of these artists. If I started listing "runners-up" or "honorable mentions," I'd probably end up listing their entire discography. And if I decided to include covers? Forget it!

What do you think of my choices?
