Update

I am so bad about updating when I'm not doing the daily thing. Bad me. Also not writing, either. Whoops.

So, the family came down for my birthday, which was fun. My parents were here about two weeks, and they helped me do some things around the house. Well, really they did some things around the house. But they seemed to have fun, so that's what's important.
My birthday present from them was taking down three dead trees and having the stumps ground. (well, four, but one was tiny) Dang, when they say grind the stumps, they mean nothing hard left!
My sister was here Thurs-Sun of that week. I drug the three of them all over the place. wheee! I wanted to make sure they were well entertained, and that they appreciated the area. The staycation I took last summer really helped with that. And they liked the restaurants.
We went to the botanical gardens while they were having a plant sale celebration thing. Very cool. Lots of people. Donuts! I bought a plant. A metal plant.

Also, it's finally rained here. We don't do things halfway, though. Drought is very dry, and rain comes in 5 day chunks.

The horses only come out when it's not actually raining. Tess, the filly, was sliding around for fun, but she hates having to walk in the water/mud. Rex-in the picture-will splash right through to get to her stall after breakfast, but otherwise he must be coaxed. *sighs*

Finally got my spirometer for work. I paid how much for this tiny little thing that's smaller than my iphone?? Finally figured it out. I think. Also, it's hard to do! Breathing out hard enough to get a good test takes a lot. But so far I've had two kids who've done it, so go them!

Had our second lesson on Rex last Tuesday. Hadn't ridden since the lesson prior, which was 2 weeks before. But, we cantered again, and got him to do square corners. Kind of. Cantering is hard for him because he's so out of shape. ETA: not cantering square corners. Just walk/trot for those.
Also, I am out of shape. lol
Rode again tonight. yay me!
