Godzilla, Maleficent, and random thoughts
Not necessarily in that order.
First, I find it interesting that in car commercials even when they're just driving on regular roads there's still the disclaimer, "professional driver.closed roads.do not try." Really? Because then I wouldn't be going anywhere.
GODZILLA was awesome!! I don't care that it took a while to get him on screen. They had to set it up, FFS! Also, there are some of the old Japanese ones that take a while to get him on screen, too. So don't bitch, ya'll. It was fantastic! (JB fans say, fantastic! fantastic! fantastic! *snort*)
(Also, why does Chiller keep playing Godzilla 2000?? Probably because it's so cheap because it sucked.)
Oh, and after seeing Maleficent today, I was able to snag a few great small versions of the Godzilla IMAX movie poster. eee!!! The large version was so awesome, but way too big for anything other than a movie theater, so yay smaller versions!
Maleficent was great! The creatures, and the magic, and the characterizations of the women were well done. Even though there were some tropes, in the most important place it wasn't used. Wheee!! Did I mention the creatures? I looked for Henson in the credits because a lot of them totally looked like they would come from there. Alas, I didn't see them, but still, they were good. And, even though it was Angelina Jolie, I loved Maleficent herself, and thought she was perfect for the part.
Sing Your Face Off starts tonight. I'm DVRing it to watch John Barrowman, but this is a great show!! Lots of fun. On ABC, same channel as Dancing With the Stars.
