Riding, the Poseidon adventure, ADWD, bitching

Rode today. Yay! Few thoughts. Some from before.
•always need to ride with our all. Set up. Not ready?-get ready, use the skills.
•harmony and cooperation
•For some reason-I think it's because of thinking about harmony, and I'm less worried about it (please don't let this jinx me lol) I really like trotting now. Seriously. Even when we're having a bit off gait, or trying a little extending, I'm smiling.
•Seriously, keep to the not letting him do things beyond what he needs to. He wanted to canter a lot today, and I almost let him, but rembered that we need to go slowly, or risk getting a strain, or him being unhappy.
•Okay, and this may sound like a *duh* but when you go from extended walk to collected walk, the body needs to go, too. Um, maybe that's why he'd fling his head? My body telling him two different things? lol duh.

I think that's it. Except he got a bath for the first time in a while. In our new wash stall! lol He wasn't all that impressed, but I figure give him time, and he'll relax more. He's a good boy.

In comes a call from a town 2 hours away. Apparently this kid has had a fever for 2 days, and just now (that's right, at, what, 8pm because the other doctor called at 9:15) decided to go get seen. And this is a kid at the age they have to be seen with a fever. And they claim the nurse told them to just watch it-um, my group was on call, we wouldn't say that to that age group. So now, I have to hang out at home until they get to the hospital, then drive in to see them so I can lay on hands, and etc. ARGH! Seriously, people-think. What else pisses me off is they will be told to go straight to the hospital here, but 9 times out of 10, they fart around first, and come up to 1 1/2 hours later than they should. Seriously. I swear. They do that to us in clinic, too. We've timed it. (There are a lot of smaller towns around here, and some people come from up to 3 hours away, just for regular treatment.)

And I've pissed off Bogie. He got spanked twice for jumping on my lap. Once when I was eating, and once when he jumped up *on* the computer-and not, say, my actual lap. Then, when I was talking to the other doctor, and folding clothes, I accidentally tripped over him when I turned around to get some paper. Now he's pissed, poor kitty. Tried playing with him, and that'll work, but he's still lying at the foot of the chair. sigh. Maybe later he'll forgive me. ;)

Have I mentioned Marcy now weighs 8 million pounds? Really. She's lying her upper body on my arm, and I think the circulation is going. ;) (I hope she can't read.) Darn kitten food.

Okay, not catching all of it, but this is the newer version. Seeing some of the end-half an hour left. One thing, though-the first one, we NEVER saw anything of the actual rescuers, so part of the angst is wondering along with the survivors if anyone is even going to be there to get them out. Instead, these guys are doing the usual fake us out with the first plan going awry, but getting them out with the back-up plan. Not quite the same. Although Adam Baldwin is in it, and the guy that heads the SAR team is kind of intriguing, so I'll keep it on for now. ;)
Okay, now they did the usual keep the most frightened person from crossing for last, and s/he doesn't want to (because it's apparently better do dieright where s/he is than try to make it to freedom) but they manage to get her/him to cross anyway. Then when s/he crosses, something bad happens, and s/he almost gets saved, but doesn't. So, s/he was apparently right about not crossing. That one kind of annoys me. hhhmmm.....

Kinda sorry about the bitching. But hey, good stuff up top. Did I mention I have to go sign for the big huge ginormous loan tomorrow? At lunch. mmm.....just what I like to do with my lunch hour. *sighs* Just like med school, close your eyes, and sign on the line, baby.

ETA, forgot the Any Dream Will Do part. lol Bottom line, I think Seamus was evil. wooooooo JB was cute, and somehow the checks didn't look so check-y here. huh.
