As we approach the end of season one of Lost (a bittersweet time, do doubt...hah), I'm just curious to know when and how everyone picked up on the series. Did you like it initially? How devoted are you to this fandom? What kept/keeps you watching? Other thoughts

Part of it, I think, was just that there were so many characters to keep track of (for some reason, I honestly could not tell Sawyer and Charlie apart. It must have been the whole "BLONDES WITH FACIAL HAIR" thing, but...I thought they were the same person for about four episodes. No joke.)
The thing about characters on Lost is that they're all so flawed and, well, emotionally screwed up, that it takes a while for them to grow on you. Of course, when they do, you fall absolutely in love with all of them, but that doesn't really happen right away. But you eventually get so emotionally invested in these people that it just sort of keeps you coming back.
That and the hot guys. The hot guys are nice, too.

I liked the characteryness of it. People are my favorite part of any book or movie, so I like stories that are mostly about people and how they interact. That explains why I think Love Actually is so cute.
Yup, this Lost-Alias bond is really netting some new viewers for both shows, I think. Good one, ABC, good one.
Yes. Hotties. Always nice.

I'm a little bit obsessed with Love Actually. I've kind of seen it an obscene amount of times...
And, um, in addition to not being able to tell Charlie and Sawyer apart, I couldn't figure out when the scene was a flashback and when it was taking place in real time. Which I don't understand, because this concept of when they're not on the island, it's a FLASHBACK really shouldn't be that hard to grasp.
I've seen...cucumbers who are more alert than I am.
