Three people have been killed in the western German city of Muenster after a van drove into people sitting outside a popular restaurant.

The driver of the vehicle died after shooting himself, police said. They are not looking for more suspects.

Swedish police may have to release a 15-year-old suspected of killing a 17-year-old earlier this week by stabbing him to death because they are unable to find a translator for him.

Several people were stabbed in downtown Turku, southwestern Finland on Friday, when more than one man mounted the attacks simultaneously.

The incidents took place in several locations in the city center including one around the market square after 4.00 p.m. local time.
