My daughter thought that fostering kittens on a volunteer basis for an animal rescue organization would cheer her up. She promised to do all the work. My wife asked for my opinion. Apparently the little cat's name is Louie. And he's a major scamp. He'll eat almost anything and he's very persistent. He has his affectionate moments but mostly he wants to play and sleep. The big cat is annoyed, but they can stand within inches of each other without fighting now, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

We have a new kitten. He's a "tuxedo cat", black with white chest and belly, and white paws except for one weird black toe. The name he came with from the shelter was "Walker", but we think it's not sticking. We'll see what name gets stuck to him eventually.

He gets in bed with us at 6 AM, and attacks our heads. Very cute and annoying.
