Apparently the little cat's name is Louie. And he's a major scamp. He'll eat almost anything and he's very persistent. He has his affectionate moments but mostly he wants to play and sleep. The big cat is annoyed, but they can stand within inches of each other without fighting now, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
