Once upon a time, it was a beautiful day. Like an 80 degrees and filled with sunshine and feeling like summer kind of beautiful.
The sun makes me so happy. It made me long for the beach, for those warm summer nights, for those barefoot random embraces (just because) on grassy lawns, for guitar players and random made-up music, for playing on the sand, for swingsets, for waterfalls, for blasting Bohemian Rhapsody in a car too full of people, for cookouts at the houses of people I don't even know that well, for staying out far too late, for fireflies, for storms, for green, for happiness, for people I love, for living. Summer is close now, though. Two more weeks. Technically it's three, but I'm not counting exams week. I guess I should, because i have to be at school either way. But yeah. I want that spontaneity that the warm weather brings. I want the love that it radiates. I just want to be with people I love and not think and not analyze. I just want to appreciate everyone and everything and love and be loved and dance and sing and let it all go. Mikala and I decided that the motto for this summer is "Stop fucking thinking." It has a nice ring to it. Not quite "i do what i want", but it's different in a good way.
This past weekend was fun. I went to the Flaming Lips concert at Brown's Summerfest. It was full of hippie love. And cousins! Sunday I played Banjo Kazooie at Duane's house and played in the sunshine and it was happy. I want to go to the beach next weekend!

Sometimes :( I feel like a hypocrite sometimes because I preach animal rights and I eat meat. I don't think it's morally wrong to eat meat, but I think the way that animals are "harvested" and treated so cruelly before they are slaughtered is wrong. I try to eat as much free-range and organic meat as I can when I'm at home, but it's harder at school.
