Can beer be worth seventy bucks for a king brown.

I've decided that the James Squires Pepperberry winter ale is really quite nice. It's quite a dark beer, and taste wise sits between their Amber Ale and Porter. It's certainly worth a try.

I've been having really crap luck with new beers recently. I've tried both the Monteith Pilsner and the Barossa Valley Bee Sting. The first wasn't as sharp as I generally like my Pilsners and the second was quite impressive in it's mediocrity. Driving 1.5 to to hours to have lunch and buy a carton of beer. Then driving back. Nice drive nice beer. That's the Abby Ale at New Norcia. Oh and Dom was quite the well behaved little boy.

You've heard of beer googles well someone is making beer, and wine, dresses.

But my favourite bit of the article is:

Custom appliances are here for almost everything in the kitchen now, so it was only a matter of time before important needs were met.

Apparently they have uncovered a whole heap of, still drinkable, vintage beer in blighty.

So, for fathers Day we went down to Elmars in the Valley. Nice german food really nice beer. I drove out there in the car listening to The Waifs. Very pleasent. Shame about the multinova.

Went out  on friday night to catch up with loic and met starfuck as well. Also got to catch up with grahame , wintal , dunc and a whole heap of other people. Which was nice.
