Settling in means getting used to each other's housekeeping habits.

Peter: Why do we need a trash bin with a lid for garbage?

Me: Where are we going to throw chicken bones?

Peter: In the organics bin.

Me: Where are we going to throw milk bags?

Peter: ...

Peter: We're getting a bin with a lid.

(For non-locals: here, we have separate disposals for recyclables (paper, cans, etc.), organics (compostable waste, mostly food) and plain garbage.)

It's Super Bowl Sunday, so Peter's dad is hosting a party at his house. However, today's the first day in a long time when I don't have anything to do - absolutely nothing scheduled. On top of that, I'm not a huge fan of sports or socializing aimlessly, so I opted to stay home today.

Wow, that feels weird to say - staying home in a place I just moved into.

On a whim, we went out and got an upgraded graphics card. I'm adjusting to the graphics now, and enjoy just how smooth everything appears in my gaming now.

Spent today puttering and catching up on all the little things I wanted to do: clean, catch up on laundry, game, laze in the couch, watch TV.

Absolutely de-stressed and ready to take on tomorrow!
