Aaaaand it's time for a little non-JE content here again. *g* Those of you who have been around for awhile have almost certainly heard me talk about Spitz (again and again and again); here is another of my favorites.
....yes, obviously I don't love them just for their looks. XD although Kusano was super cute when they first debuted (...at the beginning of the 90s cough). But since they're all pushing 40 now, what can you expect. It's their 20th anniversary this year. ^^;;;
(actually I went to one of the two 20th anniversary concerts while I was in Japan, it was A+++++ *____*)
Yup, I definitely make sure to keep translations unlocked so anyone who's interested can find them. :) You pointed out one of my favorite line from this song, too. ♥
As for my favorite song... I like Hanemono a lot, but I think my favorite would probably have to be Yoru wo Kakeru. It was I think the second or third Spitz song I heard (Kaede was the first) and it was love at first listen. It's always one I use when trying to hook other people on Spitz and it generally works like a charm. :) I translated most of it a while ago but got kind of sidetracked -- the lyrics aren't easy to express in English! Which is part of what makes Kusano's songs so great, of course, but it makes sharing with other people harder. ;) What about you -- what's your favorite?
<3<3 I wanna see how Kusano-san would draw his interpretation of that star. And it would be nice if that would become a keychain or something. <3<3 Hahaha I though about it because I can't forget the Sazanami OTR Truck! It is really cute but I can't buy it in Artist Deli. >_<
Waaaa. We are the same! Yoru wo Kakeru is my all-time favorite Japanese song! Hachimitsu was my first heard though. I love Yoru wo Kakeru it makes me teary eyed always. And you're definitely true! Kusano-san uses a lot of metaphors I consider him a wonder boy :)) Honoho, Sazanami, Nagisa and Spider then completes my top5 most favorite Spitz songs.
As for me, I always introduce the band through Honey and Clover and it works like a charm also. Hihihi.
I wonder if there will be a time I can get enough of the band. >_
omg, yay! What good taste we have! :D I love all of the songs you mentioned, especially Nagisa. As for Hachimitsu, that whole album is great. *_* As albums, it's probably my second favorite after Mikazuki Rock. (Though I also love Fake Fur... and Souvenir... with Spitz there's so much that's great that it's really hard to pick. *g*)
Honey and Clover, of course! Talk about great integration of story and music. :) The scene with Mayama and Rika and Yoru wo Kakeru blew me away... and Takemoto's bicycle ride to Supika, at the end of the first season, was another great scene. :D I still haven't seen the second season, though I've read the manga so I know how it ends... but the manga isn't quite the same as seeing it on screen and getting the music, too. Maybe when I have free time coming up. :)

How in the world Kusano-san thought of a chamomile-flavored star! Cute! Thanks for this.
By the way, which Spitz song is your most favorite among all?
