Because I dare not review something I've experienced just recently, let me tell you about a spanking new restaurant that has stormed Metro Manila, with just two branches at that: Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken; located at somewhere in Greenhills' Promenade, and on the third floor of SM North EDSA's The Annex.
We ate at the latter branch last Saturday for me and some of my friends were determined to find out just exactly what this charcoal chicken would taste like. I tell you, it wasn't no charcoal. But it was so good, it burnt in three degrees: Lemon and garlic, mild, and *extremely* hot.
Plus, no worries for the diet-worrying, for the chicken is charcoal-grilled~! Yay for my taste buds and my body~! xD
We had a delightful chicken feast because Peri-Peri is all about the chicken, and the peri-peri, the African birds eye chili the Portuguese had "discovered" some long time ago. xD It looks menacingly green, the peri-peri, as it oozed from the meat and onto the plate. Yum~!
The Food: You cannot go wrong with chicken. Their generous block-of-rice on combo servings win at life~!! Also, the Lychee Fruit Salad is <3<3<3. I wish I had some more of that Chicken Rappa though. Next time I surely will~!
The People: Friendly staff. Very amicable, them. =') Plus, food is quickly served, with a smile.
The Look: A very captivating interior design~! The bricks-as-walls were awesome. I especially loved the bunch of real firewood the place had going. It doesn't help either that I love nature's colors. ='D
All in all, five stars: For free food is always Peri good~!
