UP Tomo-Kai now embarks on its nineteenth year! With the theme “Tomo ni Hibiku Futatsu no Koe” that highlights the cultural bonds between the Philippines and Japan, ”Two Voices Echoing Together” carries with it the idea of two different cultures coexisting in harmony. And of course, admission is free for all events! So what are you waiting for?

INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT
Tuesday • 1:00 pm • Palma Hall 2 nd floor lobby

The anniversary week opens with its traditional and vibrant flavor! Join us at the AS 2nd floor lobby as Tomo-Kai in cooperation with Filipica and other friends share the various aspects of the Philippine and Japanese cultures to the students of the University. Booths on ikebana, kitsuke, Filipiniana, Japanese and Filipino food, among others will be featured.

EAT MY HOT BREAD STICK, BABEH!: Wasabi-Eating Contest
Wednesday • 4:00 pm • Roces Ave. (between FC and AS)

If you're the type who likes your bread hot, then come join UP Tomo-Kai's wasabi-eating contest! Contestants battle out to consume a container of wasabi the fastest-- and don't worry, they won't eat the wasabi alone, but with bread sticks (and with a friend). The winning pair will receive Php 1,500 worth of special prizes.

KISSATEN
Thursday •1:00 pm • Palma Hall 2nd floor lobby
With the growing burden of school and extra-curricular work, Tomo-Kai is here to help UP students unwind. The 2nd floor AS lobby shall once again serve as a sanctuary amidst the chaos, with TK serving Kapeng Barako, green tea and biscuits to tired souls. The Tomo-Kai Library, with its collection of manga, magazines, books, Pinoy komiks, and other readables, shall entertain guests. Everything is free of charge~!!

CULTURAL NIGHT
Friday • 6:00 pm • Aldaba Hall

UP Tomo-Kai's 19th anniversary week shall end with a bang, as a night of cultural performances is set to amaze audiences once again. Traditional and contemporary aspects of both Philippine and Japanese cultures will be featured from different personalities, organizations and TK members and friends. Dinner will also be served.
