Actually, I have one craft picture you can see: a craft I messed up. I was going to make these whimsical quilted notecards as Christmas gifts. So easy! So cute! So "You really can't mess these up." according to the description. I proved them wrong.

I made oat bread today from the recipe on the back of my bag of Bob's Red Mill rolled oats. I used Rapadura in place of the turbinado sugar, bread flour for the white flour, and a packet of yeast which I believe is only 2 tsp rather than 1 Tbsp. I also added 1 Tbsp of Vital Wheat Gluten. It was delicious.

After reading Finslippy's granola experience I decided to make my own granola as well. I have to say, it's pretty darn good but not as addictive as she makes it out to be. The washer repairman arrived fairly prompty this morning at 9:30, took one listen to my washer and said, "you know there is a coin catch down here, right?" Sigh. I made these veganized meatballs for dinner tonight. I used 3/4lb of ground beef plus 1 egg in place of the gimme lean beef and a package of mozzarella flavored Chreese for the nutritional yeast. They were easy and delicious!

It helps that I used my new Cuisinart Mini Prep to make the breadcrumbs and chop the parsely and garlic. My mom bought it ( Read more... )
