after this Justine's out of the hospital they put her in. Seems that bastard Manners ordered his thugs to frame her when they kidnapped me. Anyway, I met her parents. Her mother has this horrified look each time she glances in my direction. I don't think she believes me about turning twenty next week. Her father is okay. I mean, at least he doesn't look horrified. And he didn't tell me to get lost, either.
So now we're in the only hotel in town that has a swimming pool, and Justine's Dad is paying. I called my parents - and wow, am I relieved the Oklahoma police sucks so much they didn't tell them about me being a suspected murder victim - and asked them to wire me some money, so he doesn't think I'm a beggar or something like that. This time, they made me promise I'd come back to California before July is over, but Justine and I were planning on that anyway.
Chris: thanks, mate. As I said, I owe you. Justine would still be stuck in that hospital if it weren't for you.
Darla and Todd: About that thing I left the note about? I really think that's the case. Well, you know her better than I do. But whatever you do, don't come to Utah doing it. Or California.

It's weird, being in the same hotel with Justine but not in the same room. Her father was pretty strict on that, and the mother behaves as if Justine were sixteen. Which sucks, and anyway, we're both adults, but I don't want to argue with him right away. Also, I feel very bizarre being together with the parents and Justine at the same time. Because Connor Riley is whom the parents would like best, and Stephen and Connor-that-was is who I am around Justine most of the times, and so I try to be all three at once and that just freaks me out and makes me want to kill things on occasion. Or, well... I wish I could see Justine alone.
