The lovely Beth came to see me this weekend and we had such a great time, despite the subzero temperatures. She came in on Saturday and we spent Saturday in the 'burbs. I took her to see my library, we had lunch in Barrington, then we went down to Ikea (where she had never been). We hung out at my place for a bit, where I introduced her to America' ( Read more... )

I had a very, very pleasant day off today.

I went to the library in the morning (always nice). Then I caught a train into the city to meet up with Lindsay and Chris. We went shopping contributed to the economy, and although I am a bit ashamed that I didn't buy any presents, I do love every single thing I bought today, so I suppose that's something ( Read more... )

The Second City was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. All the actors were hilarious. They did sketches and then they did some improv, which was really fun. (The only bad thing was I was sitting right behind this big old balding guy so I couldn't really see all that well.
