[In the background, there's the sound of a train approaching, and he turns the phone to face out, to capture the speeding train flying right past the platform.]
Trains, I think I heard them called. Some form of transport, I assume, but not meant for us.

Why do they continue to move?
[His face is thoughtful, but he has no answers or even theories of his own.]
This world is very unlike the one from which I hail, so I must beg pardon for any ignorance I may show. But it seems none of us have any answers so far. We are left to drift along, until such time as our spirits are low enough as to be an advantage to our common enemy. They who have trapped us here.
