A few months ago, Susan had extensive treatments that took away almost all her back pain, but that was the point at which her body had time to notice severe knee pain on one side. Now, after stretching and range-of-motion exercises in the RV park’s heated indoor pool, she’s found that walking was easier for her. We’ve done a couple of days of that ( Read more... )

After a couple of days in Alamogordo, New Mexico (we visited the site of the World’s Largest Pistachio), Susan and I found that the problems with wind had largely abated on the next leg of the trip. After a couple of nights in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, the trip out was unexpectedly difficult. Bright, sunny weather, but the wind was horrendous. Our rig is a Class C, which is the most vulnerable to gusts: more surface area (“sail” area) than the Class B, less weight and higher center of gravity than the Class A. Because there is no particular hurry this time around, Susan and I are traveling more slowly. Drive a few hours during a day, then stop in one place for two or three days. Out of Oklahoma now, and staying a few days in a park about 90 minutes from Amarillo. Saturday, Susan and I visited the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
