recs/whinges, please: fishing expedition
Anyone know anything about Acer laptops? I'm wondering about getting one, but I don't know about their reputation. Heard anything? Any good/bad experiences?
Any other brands you'd care to recommend? Or curse? At this stage, I'm fairly open-minded.
I've already discounted fujitsu and dell. Not an apple person either (sorry, devotees).
ETA: I'm a novice in this - I've only ever had second or third-hand pcs before. The amount of choice for laptops is overwhelming to me.
