The Devil's Whore was too baffling for me. I don't get the main character. Religiously confused, saw Satan up a tree, married her cousin and got ignored by the king? Ooookay. It's written by Peter Flannery ('Our Friends in the North') and has a cracking cast, but the approach - history through the eyes of an individual - just didn't gel for me. Also, too long, at 1h20.
