We Got A Slow Start Today...

But if anything... I will hopefully make a big finish.

I was able to work on the big aquarium today.  I just finished messing with it about 10 minutes ago.  5 Hours of Water and mess.  I turned everything off and then disconnected the Fluval 305 filtration system.  I took the bucket component into the bathroom and took it all apart.  I cleaned it inside and out, changed charcoal and filters.  I replaced the broken part on it and let it sit for a while.  I then went back to the tank and started work on the filtration lines.  I had to disconnect them so I could replace a main part that was broken.  Bing Bang Boom!   It was done and put back together.  Before I hooked up the python to drain the tank, I removed all the Fake driftwood and the Big rocks so I could catch the fish easier.  I fought with the fake driftwood for the longest time.  One of the fish wouldn't come out of it and I ended up breaking it to get it out.  No big.  I wasn't putting it back in there anyway.  I put all the fish into the 28gal tank and proceeded to clean the tank.

I did however put the big pleco in a bucket seperate from the others.  I sold him to the fish store up the street. He's too big for my tank... I was happy to find a place for him and get some credit at the store to boot.  I moved all the rocks back into the tank and added the stack rocks and terra cotta pots from the smaller tanks.  My goal was to give them as may hidey holes for them as possible.  Filled the tank up and balanced it.  Moved the fish in and here I am.

There is fish equipment all over.  This was a real pain in the arse and a time sucker.  I'm glad I am down to just one tank now.  I'm going to tear down the other tank and store it.  At least until I get a bug in my bum to set it up again.  Hopefully I'm down to just one now.

I have got to go to the store now... Bye Bye Pleco!

Update 4:53pm - I got a store credit for $15... Not bad.
