Growing up in Kansas, you would think I have had my fill of snow. And frankly yes that's true. But Lucy loves it and so does dollie. I enjoy watching them deal with it.
yesterday was different. Because of all the rain prior to the snowfall, my yard was flooded. So the joy of romping in the snow was not to be. Their trips outside were pretty limited and they tiptoed around the yard trying to navigate around the very cold ankle high puddles.
I had to keep them off the deck for their safety... it was loaed with ice.
I left the downstairs open for them today for the same reason. I hope they remember it's open. dollie forgot it was this morning and she tried to get back in from upstairs. She actually thought I had locked her out. Like I would do that! I realized she hadn't come back in for breakfast and I went downstairs to look for her. when I stuck my head out the door, I saw here upstairs at the other door trying to get in. After I called her she carefully came down the stairs and ran in the door. she was so relieved to be in.
I took them all downstairs with me when I left and showed them the door. I hope that was enough. I probably should have blocked them downstairs.
