The Visitation... The Visitation reveals a small town torn apart by supernatural events involving a mysterious stranger and his unsolved past.
I tried to watch this on Friday night. But it starts off with a very sick dog at the vet... CLICK! turned it off. I wasn't going to try and go to sleep after watching a scary devil movie where there's a sick dog. Nope. not a chance in hell or on earth. So i decided to watch it during the day to give it a chance. If it was going in a direction (with the puppy) I couldn't handle, then I would just turn it off and wait for the next DVD to come in the mail.
so Sunday - Midday - with babies around me and the flipper close, I tried again.
the Visitation was Another one of those Christian / Fox Faith movies I came across. It wasn't bad. it isn't great, but if you like those supernatural -religiosy - thriller type movies like Prophecy, Fallen, End of Days... then you'd probably like this one. I can't say I liked it, but I didn't hate it. It was well done for a $2 million budget. Pretty small budget for a movie.
Randy Travis is always a treat to see in a Movie... I expect him to start singing "Diggin' up Bones" any moment.
Oddest thing was watching Kelly Lynch share a scene with Don Swayze (Patrick's Brother). Kinda spooky. I kept waiting for her to say "I thought you'd be bigger." guess you had to be there and well have "Road House" playing in your head too.
*side note*
The dog did die, but it was handled in a way that I could deal with and not be traumatized. but I definitely glad I turned it off when I did and switched watching days though.
Review over.
