Christmas Organizational Idea...

Since I have to (because I want to) send a box of gifts to KC, because I am not going (again) up there for Christmas... I came up with an Idea that will help me get it done and not forget anything.
  1. write a list of everything that needs to go to KC
  2. pick up large shipping carton from work
  3. affix the list to the shipping carton
  4. when I purchase (or ups delivers) the gifts, wrap them up and place them in carton
  5. cross off it off the list
  6. When the list is completed send the box

It sounds simple.  But it is very necessary.  The list should help me not to forget anything and to get it done by the 12th.  I know its very anal, but I have noticed a lack of focus and christmas is sneaking up on me.  I need to get it completed so I can enjoy it.  Like I did last year.  If the Christmas shopping is done, I can rest easy on my vacation.  Spend that time working on the things I should have worked on over thanksgiving.  I'm hoping to make a strong finish like I did last year.
Do you know I still haven't caught up from this summer.  I took nearly 3 months off doing anything outside or strenuous.  Then I slowly started coming back.   As much as I would like to think I would bounce back to pre-clot strength, I accept (finally) now that just wasn't the case.
I am just now pushing myself physically to walk any distance and I can only go about 2 times around the neighborhood without quitting.  But we (me, Krazy Kay, Foster and Dollie) are shooting for 3 tonight or tomorrow - depending on how cold the air is.  I also am trying to change my eating habits - pay attention to portion size, cut back on starches, take my lunch not go out, more water lless diet coke, etc...
One thing I would like to get done over christmas vacation is move the gym inside into the bonus room.  And complete that project.  I would like to start working out on the gym to at least strengthen my back muscles.  I think tonite I'm going to move the bike trainer inside and start using it a little.  So it's a start.
I don't have the entire 19 days off that I had hoped and planned for but I do have 14 days.  So I hope to make the best of them and start the year off fresh.

christmas, organizational
