TODAY HAS BEEN AWESOME.
I gave my last presentation as a student today. And it rocked. Our class loved it (from what I could tell) and the teacher was "blown away."
Our first realisation was that we were last on the longest day of the week, so we'd need to pull some major interest points. Our plan? Laser pens, lollies and the usual playing of the game. Playing on our requirement of promising high security measures for our "client" Sony Australia's product launch in 2009 (a made-up data storage cube made of biological waste, think of a half-literal "piece of shit USB"), we first had the "committee members'" ID cards scanned by laser pens and went on to present our pretty elaborate launch weekend. I do think we missed quite a lot of detail, but having been away from class for practically a month, I really am kinda proud of what I've done. Even if this weekend was spent a lot asleep.
I have nothing but thanks for my awesome study buddy. She was absolutely a darling to work with and I actually wish that I had pulled more of my weight in order to even match her fantastic efforts. You rock, mate.
Well, after we'd rocked the classroom and I was encouraged to work on decreasing my "ums and ahs" (fair enough, I have that bad habit when I'm thinking on my feet in front of a focused audience), I left and sat outside the library I'd just left. And just sat. This sort of satisfaction after such hard work was so unfamiliar to me, quite the quitter, that I couldn't even smile in expression. Usually, I would be niggling at the little bits I failed at, but I just sat and felt the satisfaction. Truly a feeling I was quite comfortable with. Success.
Which brings me to my next activity of the day; oh, whatever, I'll continue this entry after NCIS.
Disclaimer: This blog entry was written as a second priority to television, and not only that, but LiveJournal decided to delete the second half of my entry. Which had to be re-written. Which I didn't. I hope that it makes sense to the reader as my train of thought is quite...distracted and annoyed.
