I am still alive!
Bonjour mes amis. I am still alive and contrary to the popular belief, I am not skating with half of Canada. Zut alors, I have not seen myself in the news so much for quite some time and it was really odd for Pat and me. There are a lot of rumours going around about me and who my new partner will be and its really overwhelming. I do not have any announcements yet but I will be sure to post them when I do have something to say. I did talk to Jean-Seb before he left for Worlds but we have not talked since then (and I did not want to intrude on his preparation for Worlds) and I have talked to and tried skating with a couple of other guys but nothing is set in stone yet (contrary to what has been posted elseware). Its a crazy time for sure though.
Pat and I had to move our wedding date. We actually did this a while ago but I just hadn't mentioned it here yet. Its still this year just later in the summer. We are not sure now if we will call Edmonton home or not yet. It depends on what I do skating wise which I will hopefully know soon. Its been a bit of a struggle for us because we had everything set for May and then it got thrown around a bit but I am sure things will work out. Pat has told me that he is not going anywhere and I am not either. He's been wonderful in this whole thing and I couldn't ask for a better friend/fiance than he has been for me. He is wearing a lot of hats these days for me! I love him more than ever for how wonderful he has been these last months. Je t'aime mon amour! :)
I think I need to go get some sleep. Pat just looked into the room with a question in his eyes as to why I am still up and I am so tired from running around today that I don't know why I am still up either! I think I will go join him now. Good night everyone!
