Zut Alors!

Bonjour, my name is Anabelle and I am AGAINST any other porn being posted here. Zut alors, you can certainly tell it is the off season for skating since everyone seems to be finding time for other things! *laughs* ;)

I guess now is as good a time as any to update about one important thing. And before you ask, it has nothing to do with any TMI or porn. :0 I have finally made some decisions about my skating and since they were made public not long ago, merci Skate Canada for posting it before *I* could tell my friends, I need to talk about them here now. I will be skating with Pat and I's good friend Cody Hay this coming season and not that we hope to skate in the Olympics next year, we may not be ready for that, but we do hope to skate together for a while and maybe look towards the Olympics in our home country, Vancouver 2010. :) He has been our friend for a long time and is a very good skater too. This was not an easy decision for me at all. After Pat and I decided not to skate anymore, I wasn't sure what was going to happen for me. I still wanted to skate but partners in Canada are not around much. I talked to Jean-Seb about us skating together next year to hopefully make the Olympics (I know how much he wanted to go) but after that, he wasn't sure that he wanted to leave Utako after this great season for them, so we decided to move on from that. I saw Cody working at the rink one day and he was doing so well in his skating. I was impressed. We are close in age so it was an interesting idea to wonder if we could skate together. Dave actually suggested it to Jan and then he talked to me about it. So Cody and I skated together at the Glenora for a show and things just clicked. We have similar styles and he is a strong lifter too (which is good for a woman who gets tossed around and held up in the air to know). So after talking with Jan more, talking to each other, and me talking to Pat about everything, Cody and I are going to give this a try and see what happens. I am very nervous but excited too. The hardest part was our coaching decision. As much as Pat and I want to stay in Edmonton, Cody and I want to make sure we get good basics together for our pairs skating which meant possibly looking elseware to train as well. That was actually Jan's suggestion too even though I know he wants us to stay there. So we are actually going to split our time a bit between the Royal Glenora and the Mariposa skating clubs. We are not sure which will be ours come Canadians next year (which we will represent) but for now, this works out best and I get to stay in Edmonton with Pat for a lot of the year too. Cody is fine with that which is really good. We will see how everything works out but I am very excited for next season. Pat is very nervous though because he will have to watch me skate without him but hopefully he handles it okay! He is excited for me too. He wants to help coach us when we are in Edmonton which should be fun too. He is such a great coach! *happy smile* :)

Oui, I have rambled enough here so I am going to go spend time with my Pat. I am in Edmonton up til the wedding but not long after our honeymoon, I will head east for training, so Pat and I want to take care of our time together because it is going to become even more precious as the year goes. Je t'adore mon amour! *blows kisses* :)

~Bella~
