Pat is on the phone with Dave grumbling about the whole hockey thing so I figured I would update and let you all know that we are still here and doing okay. Life is still a bit crazy with figuring things out but we are making progress which is a very good thing.
Jamie and Dave are home for a bit and that has been very good for Pat and me. We had not talked much to them since Canadians so it was really good for both of us. I know Dave and Pat talked a lot and Jamie was beyond wonderful talking with me. We went out to lunch (Zach is getting way too big! He is growing up so fast!) and it was definitely something I needed to do. I don't have a lot of girl friends here in Edmonton so I miss her a lot when she is gone. We talked about what happened at Canadians, how we were both feeling now that we have stopped skating together, and what the future could hold for us. Well, she focused more on me and how I am doing and I guess Dave was talking to Pat about the same thing. Without skating together anymore, we are starting find ourselves drifting apart which is very scary. I don't want to lose my Pat but it will now take more work than ever to keep ourselves committed to each other without a regular schedule together every day. I guess I took that for granted, that time we always had together even if it was working on our skating. Jamie was so helpful to me and a nice time with her and Zach was just what this lonely heart has been missing the last few weeks. Merci mon amie! ((HUG)) We are seeing them again soon, this time all together, so that will be fun. :)
Oh, Pat just got off the phone and is being all attentive to me so I am going to end this now. We've done nothing but talk and get our feelings and thoughts out to each other the last week or so, and I think now its time to just be together and relax for the evening. He could use some cheering up about the hockey thing anyway. I am sure I could provide some good comfort! *halo* ;)
