Being a Mom is rough. What's that? Another one? Really?
My 3 year old has been sick basically since Weds. What started as possible pink eye has turned into a possible sinus infection with fevers that spike up to around 104 degrees when the meds wear off. This was not a fun weekend. Not to mention that the kid hates taking medicine and so has spent the last two nights in our bed so that he won't wake up his brother when we need to dose him. He's been on antibiotics for 2 days and anti-fever stuff since basically Thurs. and I really don't see marked improvement. This sucks.
And on a selfish note, both J and I hadn't really planned on using vacation time at this point in November. If he had only gotten sick 2 weeks from now, we'd have resident babysitters in place. But instead, I am now losing parts of my last 10 days at work to deal with him and this is adding to my guilt about leaving my office when I am. Ugh.
Anyway, I am still here. Just occupied. And tired. And annoyed with this illness, whatever it is, and the fact that it won't go away already! Fingers crossed that we will turn the corner soon.
