Well, while I am still in despair over my current educational status, a fair few GOOD things have been happening to me.

My niece, Leah Rose Toepfer, was born on the 29th of December, and she is just the cutest little thing ever. She's so goddamn tiny! I love her to death! It makes me want my own, but unfortunately, I'm gonna have to wait several years. That's ok, though. I'm sure it really wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun as I hope it would be. Anyway, I was there when she was born, and it was so awesome. It really was. Dan and I went over there again last night so Dan could see her (and might I add, he's awfully adorable holding a baby).

And now on to the good stuff: my material acquisitions. So, I may be dumb and not really in school, so to speak, but I'm making the big bucks now (sort of), so at least things are going really well in that sense. I'm a Shift Supervisor now, and Dan's up to Assistant Manager (and salaried, I might add). So, with my new money burning holes in my pockets, I bought an iPod (which I poomptly determined was too small, so I traded it in for a 30 gig iPod video, which is pretty bitchin'), and my dad bought me a car (granted it's a '92 and it had 130,000 miles, but it's fully loaded with everything available in 1992, it runs great, and I love it to death). Christmas has been quite profitable as well. I got cash from my parents (my first x-mas present from my dad in two years), a $100 gift certificate to a restaruant called the Melting Pot from Becky and Dave, Target GC and DVDs from Dan's parents, $$ from Brian, a GC to Rolling stones from Rick, $ from Dan's grandparents, the Sex and the City complete series, Rolling stones, and Best Buy GCs from Dan, and yeah, it's been a good christams.

unfortunately, i had to use the $$ i got to fix my car...i kinda got in an accident... Sone asshole kids were throwing snowballs at the cars on Touhy by Target, and i got distracted, so when the lady in front of me braked quickly, i didn't see, and i rear-ended her. Luckily, we were going really slow and there was no damage to her car. She didn't even take my info, so i got the hell out of there. Unfortunately for me, my left fender shattered (who knew it was made of plastic?!), my master cylinder broke (which meant i had practically no brakes), and two of my radiator hoses split (also very bad). I was kinda scared to dive it for a week or so because of the brakes, but i couldn't get it fixed because i spent so damn much $$ on christmas, so it was kinda stranded at dan's for a while. But, $578 dollars later, and in internal stuff is as good as new. The fender is still fucked up, but it's not TOO bad, and i'm gonna wait on that since it'll end up costing me $850.

and yeah, that's my life. I have no life at the current moment. I work SOOO much now being a shift, and it sucks ass. I'm so tired all the time. oh well. At least i don't have to worry about money anymore. At least not until it's getting on time to move out...which is coming up soonish, i think...
