Snow and a Hobby

Feb 05, 2014 14:11

In case you're tired of the shots of my back yard, here's a view of the front of the house, after the last time I shovelled.

Front of house from the sidewalk

View down my street. See that pile of snow behind the gray truck in front of my house? That's where my neighbour dumps the snow from his driveway.

This is what it looks like now ... from inside.

Down the steps from my front porch - The pile of snow hasn't gotten any smaller. And now there's a black car with its rear snuggled into the pile of snow.

Some of the other houses on my street - my next door neighbour's been shovelling for 3 hrs already. And the snow is still falling very very gently.

And now, for something completely different.

Leonard Nimoy has been diagnosed with COPD, even though he gave up smoking 30 yrs ago. In happier times, I collected Star Trek cards and had this plaque made for a friend. (I changed my mind and kept it after I got it home. But it's the thought that counts, right?)

Trek card plaque - It usually hangs in my upstairs tv/computer room but I brought it downstairs to photograph.
