[OOC: Continued from HERESalene turned back to Dax, motioning for him to leave, hitting the lightswitch on the way out, the sight of Mouse in her bed with the nightlight on, it made her feel happier than she had in a long time. Salene walked to her bedroom, Dax behind her, and she didn't talk in the hallway, everyone seemed to be going to bed, she ( Read more... )

Cloe walked from her own room to Salene's. She knocked on the door frame and smiled at Salene, waiting for her to say if she could come in.

Salene was so wrapped up in her thoughts, she didn't notice anyone walking into the room. She was lost, thinking of all the things she wanted to always say to Ryan, everything she'd been thinking about before was being overshadowed by that, she could not stop thinking about Ryan. It was almost unnerving, but most of all, upsetting, because some of the things were so deep emotionally that it hurt to think of facing, though she knew she would. Did she still love Ryan? Did she still love Pride? Oh yes, she did, she loved Pride, but also, somewhere inside of her, she knew she had once loved Ryan as much as he had loved her. It was when a knock came on her door that she looked up, and the thoughts kind of drifted to the far corners of her mind, a smile coming forth, "Hello Cloe, how are you feeling? Any better?"

Cloe nodded, still silent. She walked in slowly. "You alright?" She said softly. She moved closer to Salene, wondering why Ryan wasn't there. Their happy family should have come together by now.

Salene smiled, good Cloe was talking, even if it was softly, it was something. She patted the bed next to her, "Yeah, I'm alright, can't sleep, want to chat?" It was nice to have so many people around, someone was bound to be awake all night, until she could fall into an exhausted sleep. The journey home had seemed so wonderful, she'd felt almost normal, but she knew it was the excitement of almost being home and the happiness at being surrounded by her Tribe that had decieved her into believing she was miraculously going to just be ok again.

Cloe nodded and walked over to Salene's bed and sat down. After a few moments Cloe engulfed her with a guant hug. "I missed you" She whispered. "And Ved's back. He's changed Salene." Cloe let go of her. "I'm glad you're back."

Salene held Cloe, little Cloe, not so little anymore, all grown up, a woman practically, Salene didn't even feel right telling her what to do anymore. When Salene was her age, she was after Bray and being an "adult" and looking after kids and well, even though Salene wished that time could slow down and Cloe could have more time to grow up first, Salene knew this world was different and there was no way to hold her down. "I missed you too Cloe, I'm glad you're feeling better after your fall, I was worried about you while I was away," she rubbed Cloe's back absently, a gesture of comfort. She listened to her talk about Ved being back, and cringed, looking at her when she pulled away.

"Thank you, I'm glad to be back. Are you sure Ved has changed? I mean, how can we be certain? We don't know where Ram is, or Jay, I know you love him Cloe but, how can we be positive?" She didn't mean to come down on Ved or hurt Cloe's feelings, but with Amber gone and Bray in a state, she had a Tribe to take care of, and this was how she did things.

Cloe looked at Salene with worried eyes. She was pretty sure Ved had changed. "He told me Sal. He loves me, I think." She couldn't exlpain in words what had happened. She reached over to the side table and picked up a pencil and notepad.

He brought back his laptop, and I tried to look at it, and he got mad. He fell asleep, and I went through his stuff. There were some codes from this person named Mega. I wanted to know more, so I woke him up and had him print out something, I found out his password. I still know it. I showed him the papers and told him I was trying to help him and he said that I wasn't smart enough to help him. We got into a fight and well, He pushed me agaisnt the wall. I know he was just upset that I was in his stuff, but everythings alright now. He wasehed the "T" off of his forhead, so I guess he left the Techno's for good. He did say something about Ram though.

Cloe handed Salene the notepad and shook her hand. It hurt, alot.

Salene waited as Cloe scribbled onto the pad, well she was sort of talking, what was she doing now? When she handed the pad to Salene, she looked at her face for a minute, making sure she meant for Salene to read it, then took her time, her eyes having to focus kind of hard to recognize the letters and read what it said. It took her a few moments to get to the part about Ved pushing her and her jaw set and she looked really angry. So, another person to have a chat with, oh yes, if Ved thought he was going to stay here, he was going to follow rules, and Salene was going to set them for him ( ... )

Cloe nodded. She could see Salene wasn't too happy about Ved. But as long as he was here, Cloe was happy.

The part about Ryan, Cloe also agreed to. She didn't want anyone to hurt Ved. At All. She took the Pad of Paper back from Salene and began to write once again.

I don't have them anymore.Cloe was lying. They were still there in her room. The mention of Ryan brought Cloe to her next topic.

What about Ryan Salene? Do you think he'd hurt Ved? I mean he was just angry, and I didn't push him down too. You aren't going to talk to hima re you? He'll just get more upset with me for telling you. Patsy and Gel know, but they won't say anything.

It's so nice to have him back again. We finally have a family again. Like before the Chosen. And then we can all be happy. And what about Dax? He seems nice. He did help us. Cloe smiled as she handed the pad to Salene. It was nice to have someone to 'talk' to again. Ved was usually very careful about what he said, but he was still the sweet Ved she had loved for so long. She was sure Salene ( ... )

Salene watched as Cloe scribbled away and tried to focus her eyes before she got the pad back, they weren't behaving, it was hard to focus, and to concentrate. When she handed it back, Salene blinked a few times and focused, well, at least this wasn't making her headache worse, she could feel it subside, maybe having something to focus on and concentrating would help with whatever was going on. She answered each sentence as she read it ( ... )

Cloe nodded. She would make sure to keep an eye on the papers, and give them to Salene if something did come up. If Ved did something else, she'd give Salene the papers ( ... )

Salene sighed, "I don't know, we'll have to see what Ved wants, and how he responds to the chat. We can't force him to be a Mall Rat, he's got to want to be a Mall Rat," she nodded firmly and sat there, lost in her thoughts about Ryan. Did he still want to be a Mall Rat? Would he stay, or eventually move on? No, Ryan was always a Mall Rat, whether he stayed or not, he would always be welcome in the Mall, always. Salene looked up when a little kitten climbed up the side of Salene's bed, using it's claws, well how resourceful. "Hello Daisy, I remember her, she's cute, I'm glad you take care of her Cloe. Well, I'm not so sure about food, but we can find something, we'll go to the Market tomorrow and have a look around," Salene smiled and pet the little kitten, "might try some bread from dinner. Have you eaten yet? There's a stew on the stove," she smiled softly and wondered if Ryan was still in there. "Ryan and Patsy were in there when I was eating, dunno if they still are," she said with a shrug, her mind finding the subject again, a ( ... )

Cloe nodded. They couldn't force Ved to be a MallRat, but She could. Cloe watched Salene's mind wander. She hoped she would be alright.

Cloe shook her head whne Salene asked if she had eaten. "I can't. Mys tomach, it's still in knots. I don't know about you, but killing people sometimes takes my apetite away." She needed to talk to Patsy sometime. But it was late. Although Cloe wanted to stay with Salene, she thought Ved would want to be with her tonight.

"I'll try to give her some bread. Would broth from the stew be good for her?" Cloe had always had a special place in her heart for animals. Giving up her food for them. Sneaking out of the Mall to feed them. It sometimes got her in trouble, but it was always a risk she was willing to take.

Daisy walked over the bed and then Came back to Cloe. She pawed at her. Probably wanted some food.

"She's hungry." Cloe said quietly. "Thanks Sal." Cloe became quiet as she gave Salene a hug. She got off the bed and walked out of the room and down to the cafe.
