LJ Idol, Week 0 - Introductions
So here's the part where I introduce myself.
My name is Rhonda but I have answered to a number of different pseudonyms over the years, to include: Draovne, Delirium, Little Miss Mayhem, Rho, Rhondapalooza, and even _rabidwombat_. Yeah, I'm a little quirky. But I'm FUN! :)
I have been journaling at LJ since 2003 and prior to that ran my own interactive fiction website called The Otherworld. I am not new to writing but I am recently new to writers' block and I'm hoping therealljidol proves to be the kick in the pants I've been needing. PLUS, I love meeting people and making new friends so this seems an ideal way to do that.
I am 39 years old, married, live in Florida, and am the mother of a 15 year old boy who is obsessed with drum & bugle corps. Back when I was 15, I tortured my parents by cranking Ozzy and Def Leppard from my bedroom. My son? He continuously accosts me with blaring brass lines and endless drum-rolls tapped out on every surface known to man. It is amazing the things I have learned to tune out! But I love him.
I also have two miniature weenie dogs I adore and you're damned right, I talk to them! :)
Here's a few of my particular loves, in no particular order:
camping, cooking, hiking, photography, MUSIC, traveling, reading, writing (of course!), and geocaching.
I bring home the bacon working at a large university medical center in Interventional Radiology. Basically I'm an xray tech who scrubs in sterilely on procedures and assists the physician on minorly invasive surgical procedures. It's actually a pretty cool job. Most of the time.
