Day 16/26: WOOT!! Only 10 More Days!!
Only 10 more days until he graduates.. and 11 more days until he's in my arms again!! There aren't enough words to express how happy I am :)
Whew! Well, this week has definitely been busier as evidenced by the lack of posts lately. I started going to the gym a couple days ago. My first day back was with Bel and Drew. I got a 2-mile run and a leg day in. Then I went out for Wine Down Wednesday with Jay-R, Rachel, Brittany, and Rocky (Brittany's sis). It was really great to be with people who could eat a TON! We had three bottles of wine shared between the three of us, including a plethora of sushi/flat bread/calamari/sweet&spicy shrimp. Then we hopped over to Granite City for the deep dish cookie and chocolate cake. I got an Irish coffee (coffee with Bailey's). I ended up not being able to sleep that night so at 5am, I headed back to the gym for a 2-mile run and arm day... that was this morning.
Then I got home and passed out. By the time I woke up, I snacked a bit and got ready for our first official YM Officer's meeting :) 5/6 of us met up at Teo's house and drove to Monica's house for the meeting. It was rather long, but there was sooooo much to talk about. We definitely covered a lot of ground. The next two months will be INSANE. We only have until May to fundraise what we can for our beautiful and well deserving candidate, Maribel<3 I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for her! I just remember being there for Ate Krystel and yeah... it was the best week of my life. This was all in 2007.
Tita Babes said I would have actually been the perfect candidate since I was done with school, didn't have to deal with the NCLEX anymore and was already working. It would have worked out if only I wasn't turning 26 before the pageant. The rules included being between the ages 15-25. The Staff didn't want to go around any of the rules, so booo I lucked out :( It's only been my dream since Ate Belay ran for Ms. BNP. It's ok, though. I obviously already knew that rule and figured after last year with not having a Ms. BNP my chance was over. And I figured it wouldn't have worked anyways... because I guess you're supposed to be single the whole term of Ms. BNP and Don and I are planning on getting married next year. (Just waiting on that rock ;)) And you never know when the next Ms. BNP is, so yeah.
My biggest reason for wanting to do it is because you get to serve Him and the mission in a way that not everyone is able to. You get to represent your chapter and have time with Ate that many people from your chapter might not ever get. You get to have such an amazing experience that only some can dream of. But it's ok, because I'm going to try to be there for Bel the way I was for Ate Krystel. And just being in the CAC/HOP for that amount of time is a blessing in itself. Tita Babes said I can be with her backstage and all that. So I'm pretty excited for her and for that experience! I'm just praying work will allow me to.
I finally paid back people for my muffler and windshield repair. I still have a couple of returns to make, but I did the bigger of them which is nice. Money money! And we get three paychecks this month! SAY WHHHHAAAAA
BNP and work this week have definitely kept me busy. It also felt really good to go back to the gym. What did I learn, though? Don't go to the gym if you haven't eaten for more than 5 hours. You will starve, get dizzy and feel nauseous.
Hey, I miss you. And you need to be here. Life doesn't feel right without you. Being busy definitely helps pass the time. It doesn't feel like it's already been two weeks, but I'm glad that we only have 10 days left. Please pass by quickly, time. And bring me my baby back.
