Day 11/26: My MF'in Best Bud, ya'll.
This guy. This amazing guy. God has truly blessed me with such an awesome best bud. I really wanted him to go out tonight with his NG buds considering the rough week he had, and he went out to dinner with his buddy, but they came back home quickly after and he FaceTimed me again. I'm not sure if he got invited to go out with the other peeps or not, but still..... he pretty much spent the whole night with me on FaceTime, even if he was watching Inception while I was cleaning or while he was packing.
No words needed to be said because there wasn't anything to talk about. But I know our actions spoke volumes of our friendship and our relationship. It made me feel like we were closer than we really are. He's an hour behind me, but we were in the exact moment together.
I can't help but feel an overwhelming wave of appreciation for him. He didn't have to be on FaceTime while I was cleaning or doing whatever on my laptop, but he did. He suggested, "Do you want to stay on while I blah-blah-blah?" "Of course!" I replied. I can't even begin to describe how awesome that was.
It may seem like such a little thing to other people, but it literally meant the world to me. We were taking the time out of our completely off schedule to be with each other. It just goes to show me that whatever we have coming at us in our future, together we'll be able to tackle it.
We still have about 16 days to go, but after today, I feel like we can do it. Well, I've always known we could, but I just feel even more optimistic about it. During the week, I never know when I'll be able to talk to him or get a text from him and it's rough. Even the weekends are tough because I may or may not have work and he may or may not go out, so it's not like we can really make it a plan to stay home one night just to talk to each other. The way it is, we just have to go with the flow. But tonight just so happened to synchronize for us. Well, God synchronized it for us.
For me, I just always want to make sure he's ok. He told me today he was depressed about being there, but he had the cutest face, I swear, I couldn't take him seriously! And I just laughed out loud. And he smiled. It just felt like he was in Sterling Heights and I was home. It felt good to laugh the way he makes me laugh and I could tell he enjoyed hearing me laugh.
If there's another kind of best bud to ever have lived, he's got nothing on my best bud. My best bud is the greatest best bud of all time, hands down.
