I passed out! From manly hunger!
I passed out from manly hunger! Wait. that's not right.
It was dehydration. I passed out from manly dehydration.
Hmmm, something here is still not right. Oh, well.
Was at work. Grabbed file from bottom shelf, then stood to grab top shelf file. Stood too fast. Vision blacked out and down I went. Managed to take out computer, recyling bin and garbage can on my way. Yay me!
Called telehealth. They did the telehealth thing and told me to head to emerg. So I did. I finished as much work as was absolutely necessary and headed to TEGH. Considering its distance from my home, I seem to spend a strange ammount of time there. I now have two hospital bracelets on my right wrist, tonight's and one from April, last time I called telehealth.
I was in the waiting room from 1ish to 3 or 4ish, then in a room till 11. I read my whole Doctor Who novel. It was very good. Better than the first one. It had Mickey the idiot.
I got Hospital food! It was not terrible. Toast was a little burnt. Never really had hospital food as my only real stay was a tosillectomy and they don't feed you after those.
Also, if it hadn't been too late to get hold of Vicky, we so would've had a psych consult this time. Every time the doctor gleefully declared "you fainted!" all I could think was "I passed out from manly hunger! MANLY HUNGER!' (they already had psych down for some guy the hot cops brought in, and they probably wouldn't see the funny, only the clear gender misidentity. So sad that more people don't watch scifi - though I did recomend Doctor Who to a nurse with sons into scifi.)
