I passed out from manly hunger! Wait. that's not right.

It was dehydration. I passed out from manly dehydration.
Hmmm, something here is still not right. Oh, well.
Was at work. Grabbed file from bottom shelf, then stood to grab top shelf file. Stood too fast. Vision blacked out and down I went. Managed to take out computer, recyling bin and garbage ( Read more... )

yes, well, as I was alone at work at the time, there was noone to see me ever so gracefully fall to the floor and thrash around knocking things over. They never would've known except I was stupid enough to tell the truth in my 'why I didn't finish work' letter. Now the doctor wants me to do all filing while the receptionist is still there. This is only likely to prevent my eating breakfast and increase odds of manly passing out (I will not say faint).

Dude in grade nine once, I *actually* passed out from 'manly hunger'. I woke up late, and I don't eat breakfast anyways, but I didn't have time to grab lunch, and I of course, had no money seeing as I was like 14. So I skipped lunch and just planned on eating when I got home. 'cept I forgot that it was roller blading time in gym. And when I got to auto? The not having eaten + fumes made me just hit the floor. First I got all light headed and felt like I was about to throw up and then remember Zach from drama? I went to call to him to get me to the office, and then apparently I just hit the floor. Down for the count! Anyways, then everyone thought I was anorexic and really it was a case of me waking up late and being disorganized ( ... )

The triage nurse was totally a stargate fan too! I made a joke about the horrific cancellation being behind it all, and he got it. He totally commiserated. He was cool though, totally gay, pierced and adorable. Plus he offered to find me a stretcher so I could sleep instead of sitting in the waiting room. Told him I work nights too and that would screw up my sleep schedule. Didn't actually fall asleep till I finished my book, in the 2 hour wait between when they were done all the tests and when the results inevitably came back normal and they discharged me.

My tan line if I got one now really would be halfway up my arm, the new bracelett takes up a lot of space. I totally dread that I have to cut it off, but I didn't tell mum I passed out (manfully! no fainting here!) And she will notice a shiny new bracelett, and proceed to freak out about how I don't eat (which I don't really, but I'm not anorexic, just poor).
