Wow, I've been awful about posting lately.  I've been working various temporary office jobs of the 9-5 nature, which has given me the opportunity to plan lots of great weekends, including:

- various daytrips to explore Boston neighborhoods I hadn't been to yet.  There are pictures, but I haven't developed them yet, much less scanned them.

So remember how I complained that my tomato starter pots from a kit molded?   After I planted the seeds, I never watered them more because the soil was so wet already and I didn't want to help the mold.  After a few days of the soil being way too wet, I gave up on them, figured the whole kit and seeds were a loss, and added new seeds and starter ( Read more... )

I feel the need to share that I am growing some awesome basil.  I bought a pot with seven little plants about a week ago and right away they started growing like mad.  I've already clipped off a bunch, but there's a lot more that will need to come off in just a couple days.  I'm so proud. 

I have come to an important life decision. :)  I'm giving up on growing plants in dirt.  (For now...at least until I get a place with enough light and room for growing things that I can justify buying proper supplies for a larger selection of plants.)  I don't know very much about water gardens yet--there seems to be a lot of conflicting ( Read more... )
